Find a cell phone on the floor and you will probably wonder about the person who has lost it and how you can  return it. There are some things you can do to find the owner. One is to call a phone number in the phone’s recent calls, explain the situation and hope they will tell you where the owner lives. If the phone is relatively new, there may be few numbers in the directory, or maybe nobody answers when you call the numbers. When this happens, you can find the owner of a cell phone using a different method, but may not know how to do this successfully.

The best way to find the owner, without much effort is to go online and use a telephone number reverse lookup. Give yourself a “missed call” and observe the number that flashes on your Caller ID. Then enter the phone number in your reverse search and wait for it to give results.

Once you find a good match to the number that was submitted you can get the name and address of the person who owns the phone. Then you can contact them and give them back their phone. Imagine how happy they will be when they know you found their phone and plan to return it. Now that you know how to find the owner of a cell phone, the next time you find one on the street, you know what to do.

Is it really possible to do a free mobile phone reverse search on the Internet? Many of us have been disappointed and frustrated in the past with sites that appear to offer free products or services online, but in reality are not. Is this the case for the cell phone search?

First we will examine what we mean by a phone number search. If you have the home phone number but no idea who the number belongs to  you can use a “reverse lookup” service to see the details. This can be very useful, of course, in situations where you lost contact with someone but still have a record of their phone number, or just to check who owns the phone number. There are many places where you can make these residential and business phone for free online searches, including toll-free numbers.

However, a problem arises when you need to run a reverse lookup on a cell phone as the free directories do not contain such numbers. They do not contain fax numbers as this information is only in the hands of carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these documents exist and are they free?

The good news is that there are websites that claim to offer a large number of cell phone numbers, but are not free. These websites naturally have to pay to access some of this information, and go to the great difficulty of obtaining all resources in one place and, therefore, you must pay a small fee for access to research databases. However, the rate is generally a one-time payment and, in some sites can run as many searches as you want. The records usually include cell owner details, address history, carrier information, and the phone and the connection status. It should also be noted that the databases offered by each company differ to some extent, but most include cell phones, residential, business, fax, toll-free and pagers.  With these websites your searches are guaranteed legal and confidential.

In addition to reverse lookups there are also sites that provide access to information such as background checks and background reports, people finder databases, bankruptcies, liens, including databases of births, deaths, marriages, divorces and adoptions, sex offender records, police files, and more. These sites work the same way, allowing access to certain types of information for a fixed amount, but it should be noted that you will not receive access to this information as part of its cell phone research site members.

I have seen websites claiming to offer free cell research, but has always led eventually to pay sites in the end, even allowing people to search for free and then see the results. This is the sad truth that the only place where you can find detailed reverse cell records is within the legitimate paid directories. In conclusion, the answer is no, not cell phone searches are not present. However, if you really want access to these records, I think that its a small price to pay.
